56K Modem Information

This page offers links to modem manufacturers and also modem support sites. While we are providing the links to some of the major modem manufacturers, the CCPL Help Desk will not provide support for hardware problems. If you connect to any site and download hardware updates, you will need to contact the modem vendor if the update does not function correctly.

For connection speed questions, here are several good information pages on obtaining a 56K connection and more importantly why you can not get a 56K connection.

If you do suspect a modem problem, the modem vendor's web site is the best place to find answers. You should also check your computer manufacturer's web site if the modem came pre-installed in your system.
